More than 300 million customers shop in Amazon’s store, and every day, customers browse, purchase, and review products sold by third‑party sellers right alongside products sold by Amazon. Since 2000, Amazon has offered this digital shelf space to individuals and companies of all sizes, helping them reach hundreds of millions of customers, build their brands, and grow their business. Today, third‑party seller products account for more than half of all units sold in our store. The Amazon Global Selling team is responsible for recruiting 3P sellers and helping them grow their business on Amazon, either through their own logistic networks or leveraging Amazon's global fulfillment and customer service network. We place great focus on building a healthy Seller business which determines the future and potential of Amazon’s 3P business.
Amazon WW Global Selling Finance is seeking a Finance Manager to support the Asia Global Selling business. Finance is critical to the success in our mission. We see the entire picture, and are a cornerstone to driving the right investments, maintaining controllership, and distilling down the right stories to push our business forward. The role will support below key areas including:
- Financial Planning & Analysis: Build robust financial projections to support innovative and evolving growth models across the Worldwide Global Selling business; Lead business reviews at the inputs level; and Deliver comprehensive month‑end close storytelling that provides clear insights into business performance and trends.
- Strategic Partnership & Investment Management: Drive investment strategy discussions by delivering insightful, data‑driven analysis that informs prioritization and resource allocation decisions; Partner closely with Senior Leadership to evaluate the financial impact of key business decisions, ensuring a clear understanding of trade‑offs and long‑term implications; and Serve as a steward of long‑term financial health by maximizing free cash flow and ensuring investments are evaluated with a disciplined, long‑term lens.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration & Business Expertise: Collaborate cross‑functionally with business and technology teams to develop deep subject‑matter expertise on underlying systems, processes, and business outcomes; Build strong partnerships across the organization to understand business drivers and translate them into actionable financial insights.
- Process Excellence & Continuous Improvement: Champion the continual standardization and streamlining of reporting, planning, and forecasting processes to drive efficiency and scalability across the finance function; Conduct rigorous root‑cause analysis to uncover core business and financial issues using data, then partner with stakeholders to develop actionable improvement plans and establish meaningful new performance measures; Identify opportunities to automate and optimize financial workflows, reducing manual effort while improving accuracy and timeliness by leveraging AI tools.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Use solid financial knowledge and business acumen to build financial models, interpret data, draw conclusions, and make recommendations that deliver results, drive improvements, and influence leaders throughout Amazon. These decisions can have global impact.
- Educate business partners on financial and non‑financial trade‑offs and provide guidance and financial analysis for new projects and initiatives. You make thoughtful judgement calls in ambiguous environments where data may be scarce or difficult to procure.
- Identify opportunities to resolve defects proactively. Improve, scale, or simplify finance tools across teams and organizations.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field
- 7+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA, or CPA
- Experience working with large‑scale data mining and reporting tools (i.e. SQL, MSAccess, Essbase or Cognos) and providing recommendations based on results of ad hoc analyses to management for strategic decision‑making
