The Robotics Delivery and Packaging Innovation (RDPI) team owns Amazon's packaging automation strategy, delivering technologies that improve customer experience and Amazon’s cost to serve.

The RDPI finance team is seeking an analytical, driven, and creative finance leader to support the Packaging Automation Organization, which designs and implements automation solutions for packaging across Amazon’s Operations. This position will partner with several teams to design and implement solutions to scale the program across new platforms, networks, and products, while ensuring the financial controls are in place to measure the end-to-end impact on Amazon’s cost to serve.

When not dedicated to forecasting or monthly financial reporting activities, this role spends time looking for opportunities to improve forecasting accuracy, financial controls, data quality, and cost modeling. This is an exciting role for someone who enjoys influencing both strategy and tactical execution and has a passion for innovation and scale.

Key job responsibilities

  • Partner with senior leaders in Worldwide Operations and WW Ops Finance.
  • Create, improve, and maintain financial analysis (ROI and NPV models) driving operational decisions across the WW Operations Fulfillment network.
  • Gather analytical insights and develop financial frameworks to help grow profitability and expand reach in a global environment.
  • Drive the core financial processes for the business including Annual Operating Plans, 3‑year Strategic Plan, Long Range Plan and Monthly/Quarterly Business Reviews.
  • Complete cost/benefit analyses and communicate key drivers and inputs to support business decisions.
  • Perform financial reporting, deep project analyses, and financial modeling.
  • Facilitate financial review meetings with business groups and work with business managers to ensure effective finance and cost management.
  • Create, improve, and maintain financial metrics, reports, and scorecards.
  • Communicate financial and business results including variance analyses to senior business leaders.
  • Lead strategic projects.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science).
  • 5+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA.
  • 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business.
  • Knowledge of SQL/ETL.
  • Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis and interpreting the results.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
