Overview
The Robotics Delivery and Packaging Innovation (RDPI) team owns the design and build of robotics technologies and the deployment of those technologies into fulfillment operations. The RDPI finance team is looking for an analytical finance leader to partner with business teams to design and implement solutions that scale the program across new platforms, networks, and products while ensuring financial controls that measure the end‑to‑end impact on Amazon’s cost to serve.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Partner with senior leaders in Amazon Robotics.
- Build and maintain gearing ratio models which dictate resourcing plan for Robotics Delivery.
- Drive core financial processes for the business including Annual Operating Plans, 3‑Year Strategic Plan, Long‑Range Plan, and Monthly/Quarterly Business Reviews.
- Complete cost/benefit analyses and communicate key drivers/inputs to support business decisions.
- Perform financial reporting, deep project analyses, and financial modeling.
- Facilitate financial review meetings with business groups and work with managers to ensure effective finance and cost management.
- Create, improve, and maintain financial metrics, reports, and scorecards.
- Communicate financial and business results, including variance analyses, to senior business leaders.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in tax, finance, or a related analytical field.
- 5+ years of experience in multiple finance and accounting roles.
- 6+ years of experience with Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable.
- 6+ years of experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses.
- 6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision‑making.
- 6+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis.
- 6+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects to scale and improve controllership with measurable results.
- 5+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy.
- 5+ years of leading cross‑functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, statistics, or business, or a degree plus 5+ years of quantitative role experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, finding root cause, and implementing an escalation plan.
- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations with proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits).
- MBA or CPA.
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL.
- Experience with large‑scale data mining and reporting tools (SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and interpreting data results.
