What Will You Do
The Finance Manager in our organization oversees the administrative functions of the VRV Group, which is listed on the US stock market. This role involves coordinating accounting, administrative, and treasury teams to ensure reliable financial reporting in compliance with ITA & US GAAP standards. The manager will work closely with leadership to monitor cash flow, ensure compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, and adhere to corporate policies.
- Coordinate accounting, tax, and financial statement processes for all Italian companies.
- Manage monthly closing activities, including review and approval of journal entries, accruals, and analysis, in collaboration with the controlling department for comprehensive monthly financial reporting.
- Supervise VAT, Intrastat, F24 forms, tax returns, and compliance with Italian regulations.
- Oversee customs matters, intra/extra-EU VAT transactions, and liaise with foreign tax representatives following corporate guidance.
- Ensure the completion of statutory and consolidated annual closings in accordance with Italian regulations, supporting internal and external audits.
- Collaborate with auditors, tax/legal advisors, authorities, and consulting firms.
- Maintain timely system-based balance sheet reconciliations (A/R, A/P, inventory, fixed assets, banks).
- Verify intercompany reconciliations, coordinating with partners and utilizing corporate tools.
- Supervise all accounting, tax, and treasury initiatives set by the organization and parent company.
- Monitor and implement internal controls in accordance with SOX.
- Stay updated on corporate policies and changes in the current ERP system.
- Identify opportunities for improving existing financial systems, and lead the design and implementation of changes.
- Support the business in achieving cash flow targets, managing risks and opportunities with project managers, purchasing, and operations.
- Lead the development of the administrative team.
Requirements & Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
- At least 15 years of experience in accounting.
- Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
- Previous experience as a Finance Manager in manufacturing companies.
- Excellent command of English, both verbal and written.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to non-finance colleagues and upper management.
- Knowledge of standard accounting practices, procedures, and general ledger structures.
- Proficiency in reviewing, approving, and reconciling general ledger accounts.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUPs, pivot tables).
- Ability to work effectively in a matrix and remote organizational structure.
- Strong leadership, supervisory, and management skills.
- Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage time effectively and multi-task.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
