Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Finance Manager to be a key member of the AWS GenAI team. This role will own end-to-end finance support including CapEx management and planning for Generative AI services. Additionally, this role will drive strategic new Generative AI feature launches and process improvements across the organization. The successful candidate will be able to communicate effectively, manage multiple and time‑sensitive deliverables across a highly matrixed organization, and manage risks and opportunities. The individual will also possess strong business partnership skills and collaborate effectively with key stakeholders.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Take the lead in financial planning; build complex financial models and analytical tools to measure overall financial performance.
- Own the GenAI services end-to-end, and influence business decisions that drive revenue and/or capital expenditures.
- Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements including automation and coordination with upstream and downstream organizations.
- Partner with finance teams across AWS to standardize, streamline, and prioritize improvements, remove roadblocks, and increase the reliability and efficiency of reporting.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of tax, finance, or a related analytical field experience.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science), or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role experience (engineering, process re‑engineering, quality assurance).
- 5+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy.
- 5+ years of leading cross‑functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, performing root‑cause analysis, and creating/implementing escalation plans.
- 5+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have proven impact on business.
- MBA, or CPA.
- Experience working with large‑scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and interpreting data results.
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL.
- Experience performing ad hoc analysis using advanced Excel.

The base salary range for this position is 95,400.00 - 163,200.00 USD annually. The Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
