Overview
Our client is the Italian subsidiary of a Swiss-headquartered group, active in industrial automation and material handling solutions. Based in Rho (MI), the company operates in a technical B2B environment and is known for high-quality engineering, long-standing customer relationships, and robust internal structures.
Role
As Finance, HR & Tax Manager, you will take full ownership of the finance function in Italy, overseeing all accounting, tax, treasury, payroll, and reporting activities. You will act as the primary point of contact for the Group’s Swiss HQ, auditors, fiscal advisors, and internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate combines strong Italian tax knowledge with hands-on control of the full finance cycle.
Responsibilities
- Accounting, Reporting & Controlling: Full-cycle accounting (AP, AR, general ledger, invoicing, reconciliations); Monthly and year-end closings; preparation of statutory and consolidated reports; Group reporting and local statutory accounts (IFRS / local GAAP); Budgeting, cost control, and financial planning
- Tax & Fiscal Duties: Oversight of all Italian tax matters: VAT, IRES, IRAP, Intrastat, F24, incentives; Management of transfer pricing documentation; Direct liaison with tax consultants and external partners
- Cash & Treasury: Cash flow management and cash forecasts; Management of local banking relationships and daily operations; Oversight of collections, payments, and insurance matters
- Payroll & Personnel Costs: Coordination with external payroll provider; Oversight of labor cost reporting, bonuses, and HR-related finance tasks; Support local HR documentation in coordination with HQ
- Audit & Process Coordination: Prepare and manage year-end audits (local and group); Maintain financial procedures and ensure accuracy of all finance-related processes; Support further development of ERP (SAP) and reporting tools
Your Profile
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (Italian laurea or diploma in Ragioneria / Economia)
- Experience in leading directly a small team (2–3 people)
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in a similar role in Italy
- Strong knowledge of Italian tax, VAT, and labor law
- Solid background in accounting and reporting, ideally with international exposure
- Experience with SAP and Excel
- Fluent in Italian and good command of English (used internally with Swiss HQ)
- Reliable, hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable in an SME structure
