Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for cost planning, controlling, financial management, and analysis.
- Work in close partnership with Line Managers and other functions to drive cost control and support the organization in achieving financial and operational goals.
- Prepare capital investment proposals and conduct analyses.
- Manage financial performance metrics such as sales, standard and gross margin, cash flow, and operating costs on a monthly basis.
- Ensure that financial results for the local legal entity are accurate and comply with corporate guidelines.
- Oversee and be responsible for the preparation of all monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports according to US GAAP.
- Act as a senior member of the controlling team, supervising other team members.
- Participate in projects aimed at process improvement and change management.
- Prepare ad-hoc reports and economic analyses, and develop new reports as needed by the team and organization.
- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures, establishing efficient, compliant, and well-documented processes, with a focus on continuous improvement.
Expected Areas of Competence
- Minimum of six years of experience in a controlling department within multinational companies.
- Degree in Economics or equivalent.
- Technical proficiency in U.S. GAAP, local requirements, and legislation.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Excellent knowledge of Excel.
- Ability to manage a team effectively.
- Understanding of SAP and Hyperion systems.
- Strong organizational, project management, and multitasking skills, with a proven ability to manage expectations and deliver results.
- Positive attitude, inclusive working style, and effective communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
