Finance Controller

In this role you will lead the Finance Department’s day-to-day operations, ensuring timely statutory and tax filings, month-end closes, and group reporting. You will coordinate with the SSC, manage intercompany reconciliations, and maintain data integrity in Maconomy. You’ll drive process improvements, support audits, and assist the Finance Director in elevating the finance function. This position offers exposure to cross-functional teams and strategic financial planning in a dynamic, hybrid environment. hybrid work model with in-office days accommodations or flexibility during interview process equal opportunity employer collaborative culture supportive, meritocratic environment opportunity to work with world-renowned thought leadership Own the month-end close and ensure timely reporting by AKQA and WPP deadlines Coordinate activities across the finance team and Shared Service Centre, including intercompany reconciliations Prepare and publish monthly, quarterly, and year-end BFC reporting and management proposals Maintain budgets and forecasts by monitoring actual costs, payroll, and live project spend with HR/operations Drive continuous improvements to finance processes, reporting and controls to ensure compliance Act as primary contact for finance queries, audits, and compliance matters; support the Finance Director on ad hoc projects Support the Finance Director in developing the finance function and financial awareness across the business Good understanding of accounting principles Strong knowledge of Excel Willingness to learn tools such as SAP, Matisse, and documentation workflow Ability to communicate effective in Italian and English Proactive, accountable, collaborative, and able to work under deadlines Hands‑on attitude in a challenging and dynamic environment
