Your Mission
The Finance & Accounting Manager at Vhernier is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting at both Group and Statutory levels, compliant with local and international regulations, accounting standards and fiscal principles, and supported by effective internal controls. The role coordinates the accounting team with financial insights, operational guidance, and an internal audit view. It provides accurate, timely actuals and insightful financial information to the CFO for group and local management reporting, drives continuous improvement in financial processes, and introduces best practices. Responsibilities include enforcing accounting policies, coordinating audit efforts, ensuring general ledger integrity, analyzing data to forecast financial trends, and leading corporate financial reporting, consolidation processes, and compliance with internal controls and Group requirements.
How will you make an Impact? Reporting & Monitoring
Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings, ensuring alignment with IFRS and local GAAP standards and Group procedures.
Supervise all accounting operations, including general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, and financial reporting.
Develop and implement internal controls and financial procedures.
Collaborate with the CFO and the accounting team to align accounting goals with business strategy and develop scalable accounting strategies across departments and regions.
Fiscal & Administrative Management
Ensure compliance with all local and international tax regulations and reporting requirements.
Prepare and submit tax declarations (VAT, corporate income tax) and other fiscal obligations, customs obligations, and Banca d’Italia rules.
Manage and optimize administrative financial processes: cash flow management, intercompany transactions and related monthly reconciliations, and treasury management.
Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and relevant authorities on tax and administrative finance matters.
Monitor changes in tax legislation and administrative financial best practices, advising management on potential impacts and opportunities.
Leverage advanced knowledge of the SAP accounting system to manage financial transactions, generate reports, and ensure data integrity.
CFO Business Partnering
Support the CFO on the accounting and compliance audit continuously by providing actionable insights and recommendations.
Assist the CFO with compliance activities required by external stakeholders (Group Accounting, Group Internal Audit, external audit, 231 OdV). Support discussions for strategic projects with accounting/financial insights and ad‑hoc analyses.
Team Leadership & Development
Mentor junior finance team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Drive best practices in accounting processes and analytical tools.
How will you experience success with us?
Master’s degree in finance, accounting, or economics.
5–10 years of experience in financial controlling with strong accounting expertise, ideally within the luxury, retail, or manufacturing sector.
Master knowledge of IFRS standards and Italian GAAP, including consolidation accounting principles.
Strong knowledge of local (Italian) and international tax regulations and compliance procedures.
Proven experience managing administrative financial processes and internal controls.
Good knowledge of an ERP tool (SAP S4 a plus), financial systems (Power BI, Locker or similar business analytics tools a plus), and advanced Excel skills.
Travel to Valenza’s site weekly.
Ability to communicate financial concepts clearly to non‑finance stakeholders.
Proactive, results‑driven, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Fluency in English and Italian (knowledge of French a plus).
CCNL Commercio Salary Range: 55K – 65K€
