What you will do:

We are seeking experienced Field Technical Engineer (freelance) to join our growing team at Bitrock to provide assistance at L2 level.


What we need from you:

  • Basic knowledge of languages such as Java, JavaScript, React
  • Knowledge of relational databases (MySQL) and non-relational databases (MongoDB)
  • Knowledge of log monitoring tools like Grafana and Kibana
  • Basic knowledge of AWS and Azure cloud architectures
  • Foundational knowledge of Kafka
  • Knowledge of REST APIs
  • Ability to understand and manage SLAs
  • Italian first and English language (level C1)


Tasks performed by this role during AM activities:

  • Analysis of problems on interconnected applications in various modes (REST APIs, Change Data Capture, Kafka streaming)
  • Read-only queries on relational and non-relational databases (no data modification)
  • Non-regression and smoke testing based on pre-compiled execution plans
  • Interaction with the client for problem replication
  • Interaction with other work groups for problem resolution
  • Constant communication with the Service Manager for criticality management


Additional Considerations:

  • Available to work on shift to cover 24/7 service
  • Should understand service management frameworks and ITIL processes
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis and create technical documentation
  • Understanding of non-regression testing and patch management


Start: from july 2026

Duration of engagement: 1 year
