Role Overview

We are seeking a Field Service Engineer Digital Technologies (m/f/d) , preferably based in Roma/Padova/Bologna area . The engineer will provide technical service and support mainly for Digital Pathology equipment, adhering to ISO, FDA, and budget guidelines to minimize customer downtime and generate revenue.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support installation, maintenance, modification, and repair of Digital Pathology instruments.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and customers to meet expectations.
  • Complete service documentation promptly to comply with policies.
  • Apply Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) as issued.
  • Assist in selling service contracts and system upgrades, and suggest improvements for financial performance.
  • Enhance knowledge and professional skills.
  • Manage spare parts inventory within budget to ensure quick repairs.
  • Control expenses to maximize profit.
  • Represent the company professionally to instill confidence.

Minimum Requirements

  • Education in Mechanical, Electronic, or Electronical Technology.
  • At least 4 years of experience as a Field Service Engineer in the Biomedical industry, dealing with hospital diagnostic equipment.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written).
  • Knowledge of network setup, firewalls, TCP/IP, Windows environment, remote storage, domain policies, and firewalls.
  • Ability to learn quickly in technical areas.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Anatomy Pathology.
  • Knowledge of Digital Pathology integration and software installation.
  • Skills in database management, Windows Server ), and virtual machines.

Travel & Physical Requirements

  • Willingness to travel extensively (up to 80%), including abroad for training.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 25kg safely.
