Field Engineering Manager

Mission:

The Field Engineering Manager has the leading role among the Field Engineering team, located at Site, during the construction phase of the Project. The Field Engineering Manager is coordinating the engineering team which assists the Construction group and the supervisors, typically during the construction of big plants under Lump Sum contracts, with chance to work with engineering/construction partners.

The Field Engineering Manager coordinate and lead the engineering activities as they are carried out at Site working in close liaison with construction Site team and Home Office.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Carry out the Technical Variations (if strictly necessary) during the construction phase, in coordination with Home Office, following the technical contractual requests;
• To ensure the technical coordination among the different engineering centers involved in the Project (namely Home Office and Site, as well as other Group Subsidiaries, sub-contractors, partners, and stakeholders);
• To manage, with the help of Field Engineering team of the various technical disciplines, the design activities pertinent to Site;
• To manage and supervise the Project Changes with the aim to minimize time and costs impacts on the Project.

As part of Project Engineering team, FEM responsibilities are:

• To give feed-back to the Head of the Department regarding criticalities highlighted during Procedures and Work Instruction application, with the aim to improve the efficiency of the Team;
• To foster the professional experience of the Project Engineers assigned to the project according to the Company and Department needs, as well as to exchange experience among the colleagues (PEM and FEM) of the Group Companies and Subsidiaries.
• To keep updated regarding the organization, procedures and workflow of the Department.
