Position

We are seeking a skilled Food & Beverage Assistant Manager to assist leading our food & beverage operations with a focus on organization, customer service and cost control. The ideal candidate has worked for an international hotel chain, has experience in assisting to manage a team of about 20 associates in more than 1 outlet and is knowledgeable with HACCP regulations.

Hyatt Centric Murano Venice has 3 Food & Beverage outlets, room service and banqueting facilities. The gourmet Ristorante Osteriva considered the best restaurant on Murano Island, the Laguna side must-go location Caffè Rivalonga and the Spritz & Fizz Cocktail Bar .


Main Responsibilities:


  • Act as a face of the F&B Operations team towards the guests and lead the food & beverage team by example providing courteous customer service.
  • Oversee staff scheduling, onboarding, training, and supervision of employees and apprentices.
  • Handle guest requests and respond promptly to complaints
  • Ensure compliance with all HACCP and safety regulations.
  • Assist in budget planning for the food & beverage department and control a cost-efficient food & beverage structure
  • Ensure effective collaboration with all relevant departments and participate in meetings and conference calls.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Professional experience in a similar role with several outlets or in a junior F&B Manager role in smaller operations
  • Outlet Manager for prestige outlets can also be considered.
  • Ability to work independently with a strong attention to quality
  • Strengths include flexibility, commitment and driving change
  • Open-minded, innovative, and able to contribute new ideas to daily operations
  • Resilient and able to stay calm under pressure
  • Hotel operates the full year but with seasonal differences, having worked in a seasonal environment is a plus
  • English language skills, Good Italian skills are a plus but not mandatory
