Expert Electrical Engineer -BESS & HV

Skyray is strengthening its team in Italy and is recruiting an experienced Electrical Engineer to play a key technical expert role on large-scale PV, BESS and HV grid-connected projects.

About the Role

As part of the development of its activities in Italy, Skyray aims to strengthen its in-house electrical expertise.

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer who will be identified as one of Skyray’s technical references for BESS and HV projects in Italy, with a high level of autonomy and direct visibility with both internal teams and clients.

Key responsibilities

Technical Expertise – BESS & HV

• Act as a technical expert on BESS and HV grid-connected PV and BESS projects.
• Contribute to early-stage studies (pre-FEED / FEED) and electrical architecture design choices.
• Support grid connection and ensure compliance with Terna Grid Code, CEI standards and ARERA regulations in Italy as well as standards for international projects
• Review, analyse and challenge electrical studies produced by EPC contractors and suppliers.

Tender & Project Support

• Provide technical support during tender and bid phases.
• Support projects during construction and commissioning phases as Owner’s Engineer (design review, commissioning support, FAT/SAT when required).

Collaboration & Partnerships

• Work in close collaboration with Skyray teams in France, the UK and Portugal.
• Contribute to the development and coordination of technical partnerships in Italy.
• Participate in knowledge sharing and collective skills development.

Required Profile

Education & Experience

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5 to 10 years of experience in electrical engineering applied to renewable energy projects, with knowledge of applicable standards.
• Proven expertise in at least one of the following areas:
• BESS projects, and/or
• HV projects (grid connection, substations, overhead/underground lines).
• Additional experience on PV projects is a plus.
• Fluent Italian and professional English.
