What will you be doing?

Experience Designers are responsible for the design of digital and convergent products and services. They use their broad skillset across the service, interaction, and visual design domains to work on holistic design solutions, from early-stage idea generation to the detailed design of service features and user stories in digital and convergent products.

As an Experience Design Intern, you will support teams on client-facing and internal projects. You will learn by doing, with guidance from experienced practitioners, who will help you understand and deliver the experience design activities assigned to you, in the context of interdisciplinary projects.

Your fellow frogs will rely on you to:

  • Analyse existing solutions and map opportunity spaces (through journey maps, blueprints and ecosystem maps) to drive understanding across stakeholders
  • Translate brand principles, themes, and moods into strategic frameworks for visual expression
  • Define interactive concepts across digital, physical and service in collaboration with the strategy and technology teams
  • Execute the detailed design of selected concepts—working across service components, interaction logic and visual language expression
  • Create scalable design systems for digital products, including typography, colours, UI components, and layouts
  • Build interactive and motion prototypes to simulate the experience with a product, including how it looks and feels, or moments of interaction
  • Enable a successful handover of final outcomes to the client through training and documentation

On a typical project you will:

  • Understand goals, business requirements and constraints, market opportunities and user need to help define opportunity areas and experience requirements
  • Plan, conduct, and synthesise research, testing and piloting activities with end users, providers, and SMEs
  • Map existing and to-be experiences, across both front and back office and actors involved, through journey maps, blueprints, and ecosystem maps
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to create digital product experience concepts that push the bar for quality in a given field
  • Support the definition of new product/service value proposition, visual expression and implementation roadmaps
  • Create compelling narratives that help tell the story of the work in an impactful way

We want you to have:

  • Recently completed, or will complete within 1 year, a university degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Interaction Design, Human Computer Interaction, or a related design or behavioural science discipline
  • A robust practical and theoretical grounding in experience design through your studies and professional experience
  • Well-developed digital product design skills, demonstrated in your portfolio of recent work
  • Strong foundational design skills in typography, color, layout and visual hierarchy
  • Knowledge of interaction patterns and trends across mobile/desktop platforms, and experience defining product logic through site maps, user flows, wireframes, etc.
  • Ability to rationalize your decisions effectively and present your work clearly, through strong presentation design and storytelling techniques
  • Proficiency with contemporary design and prototyping tools and methods
  • Willingness to quickly learn and grow your design skills on the job
  • Experience collaborating in multifunctional teams
  • Affinity with frog’s values, and a passion for creating products that meet peoples’ functional and emotional needs
  • Business level ability in English

It would be a bonus if you had:

  • Experience with generative AI tool applied to digital product design
  • Experience with motion graphics and video editing
  • Experience working in a variety of organizations (start-up, corporate, agency/consultancy)
  • Academic, professional, or life experience from outside the design field that enriches your perspective as a designer
  • A second language (and every additional language is a plus!)
