Location & Contract
This is a full-time remote position in Italy (Milan preferred). Please note that we can only consider candidates who have the right and the ability to work in Italy and are able to provide relevant supporting documents. This position is offered with an exclusive consulting contract relationship. Position to be filled by June 2026
Your (future) job?
The recruitment & business development officer, in collaboration with the Head of Recruitment, will work to increase student enrolment in the region and to meet objectives in terms of application volume, diversity and quality of candidates. The recruitment & business development officer will attend local events and will focus on the relationship with leads and applicants but will also play a key role in identifying and developing a network of key partners.
Your missions
- Supporting promotion of the school and business development across Italy, Switzerland and the neighborhood region (Austria, South Germany and South East Europe)
- Planning events and including budget management aspects
- Running information sessions and participating in local events
- Building relationships with candidates and stakeholders in the region (one-on-one meetings, follow-up calls…)
- Building relationships with alumni in the region
- Managing your pipeline effectively to ensure maximum applications in line with targets and business development plan
- Attending general networking events, educational seminars and business specific events to generate new leads and business opportunities
- Supporting applicants in their journey prior to and during their application to ESSEC
You are a good fit for this position if...
- You have a solid work experience in either: sales / recruitment / talent acquisition environment
- You are a Bachelor degree holder with 8 years of work experience minimum
- You are a Master degree holder with 4 years of work experience minimum
- You are bilingual in Italian & English (C2 level); German or French knowledge is a strong plus
- You are motivated by targets & customer experience
- You are self-motivated with a team spirit
- You enjoy working in a multicultural team and environment
- You enjoy travelling and are able to travel 40 % of the time
- You have some experience in Higher education industry (preferred but not essential)

Hiring process
For the first round of interviews
- An online meeting with a team member to discuss culture and values at ESSEC Business School (30 min)
For the final round of interviews
• A meeting with the Head of Recruitment at ESSEC including a case study to demonstrate your practical skills (1 hour)
• An final meeting with the Director of Marketing, Recruitment and Admissions at ESSEC (1 hour)
