On behalf of our client, a multinational group operating in the healthcare and homecare services sector, Jefferson Wells is looking for a:
HSE Manager – Europe
To lead, coordinate and harmonise Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) policies across European operations.
The ideal candidate combines strong knowledge of local HSE regulations with a hands‑on, pragmatic approach, developed within multi‑site and people‑intensive environments. This role is pivotal in ensuring legal compliance, mitigating operational risks and fostering a robust HSE culture across both field-based staff and central/site functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Multi-country legal compliance
Ensure full compliance with local HSE legislation across the assigned European countries. - HSE strategy & governance
Define, implement and continuously improve the Group HSE Management System, tailoring it to sector-specific operational risks such as staff mobility, home-based ergonomics, healthcare waste management and lone working. - Audits & inspections
Plan and conduct periodic internal and external HSE audits across European sites and oversee the implementation of safety protocols in non-standard working environments. - Incident & risk management
Coordinate workplace accident and near-miss investigations using Root Cause Analysis methodologies, ensuring timely implementation of corrective and preventive actions. - Training & safety culture
Partner with local management to design and roll out targeted HSE training programmes, promoting awareness, accountability and continuous improvement at all organisational levels. - Reporting & KPIs
Develop structured HSE reporting, dashboards and performance indicators to support senior management in monitoring regional HSE performance.
