EU FINANCE LEAD (Accounting)


"Electrip” is a global partnership in electric vehicle charging (EVC) and energy services areas between Wren House Infrastructure LP (WH), a direct subsidiary of Kuwait Investment Authority, and the leading global energy company Zorlu Energy.

"Electrip Italy" has been established in Italy in order to pursue its activities and projects covering electrical vehicle charging station sales, instalment and operation activities abroad with its subsidiaries

We are looking for a "EU Finance Lead (Accounting)" for our Electrip Italy team.


Role Overview

The EU Finance Lead (Accounting) will be based in Milan and responsible for ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely financial accounting across Electrip’s EU subsidiaries. The role will serve as the primary accounting contact for local entities and coordinate with external advisors, auditors, and the HQ finance team.

This position requires a strong technical understanding of local GAAPs, multi-country accounting operations, and consolidated reporting processes within a multinational group.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the accounting operations of EU subsidiaries (general ledger, AP/AR, fixed assets, accruals, etc.) and If there is a local external accountant in the respective country, providing support to such parties on documentation and reviewing the financial statements on a monthly basis.
  • Ensure compliance with local statutory, VAT, and corporate tax regulations,
  • Coordinate month-end and year-end closings in group’s timelines
  • Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and trial balances
  • Support the financial statement preparation
  • Liaise with external auditors, accountants, and local authorities
  • Support implementation and optimization of SAP S/4HANA accounting modules for incharge countries
  • Provide financial insights and assist with intercompany reconciliations and assist tax team for transfer-pricing documentation
  • Assist in process automation and internal control improvements across the region


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master or professional qualification preferred. e.g., CPA)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles within multinational environments
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and at least one major EU GAAP (i.e. Bulgaria, or Poland preferred)
  • Experience with multi-country accounting and cross-border VAT operations
  • Hands on experience in ERP systems (SAP S/4HANA is an advantage)
  • Excellent English & local communication skills (another EU language is a plus)
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail and process ownership attitude
