Piper Maddox are partnered with several leading developers, IPPs and EPC contractors within the Italian renewable energy market who are currently expanding their project delivery teams.
Following the recent FER-X and MACSE auctions, many of our clients are entering a major execution phase. We are therefore supporting multiple organisations delivering large-scale solar and battery storage portfolios, with several pipelines exceeding 100MW scheduled for construction across 2026.
These opportunities offer Project Managers the chance to take ownership of utility-scale renewable energy projects across the full lifecycle, working closely with engineering, procurement and construction teams to successfully deliver projects from Ready-to-Build through to commissioning.
We are interested in speaking with both emerging Project Managers seeking greater responsibility and exposure to utility-scale technologies, as well as experienced PMs looking to lead complex EPC projects and manage large renewable portfolios across Italy.
Responsibilities
- Full project management of multiple utility-scale solar and BESS plants from RtB through to COD
- Coordinate project deployment alongside internal engineering, procurement and construction teams
- Oversee construction progress on site, managing EPC partners, subcontractors and key stakeholders
- Manage project timelines, budgets and reporting across the delivery phase
- Plan and coordinate commissioning activities and manage handover to the O&M team
Key Skills & Experience
- Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline
- Proven experience delivering large-scale (10MW+) solar or BESS projects in Italy
- Strong understanding of Italian construction regulations, HSE procedures and grid requirements
- Experience managing multiple stakeholders across EPC project delivery
- Fluent Italian and English
