What does a EHS Specialist / ASPP do?

The EHS Specialist ensures the Passirana site operates safely, legally, and sustainably by supporting the EHS Manager in implementing corporate and local health, safety, and environmental requirements. The role focuses on strengthening the site’s safety culture, maintaining ISO‑aligned management systems, overseeing risk assessments, managing incident reporting, supporting environmental compliance (waste, water, air), and ensuring all employees and contractors work in safe, compliant conditions.



Why do we need you?

  • Maintain and continuously improve the Integrated EHS Management System (ISO 14001 & ISO 45001) and support internal audits and corrective actions.
  • Lead and update all site Risk Assessments required by D.Lgs. 81/08 and conduct HIRA analyses.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report near‑misses, unsafe conditions, first‑aid incidents, and BBSO observations using SAIRS 2.0.
  • Deliver safety training to new employees and support safety culture initiatives across all departments.
  • Conduct regular shop‑floor presence activities (DIMs, Gembas, Safety Walks) to proactively identify and resolve EHS issues.
  • Support contractor compliance (documents, permits, DUVRI) and ensure alignment with D.Lgs. 81/08.
  • Oversee environmental compliance for waste, water, and air emissions, including RENTRI, MUD, EPD data, and periodic inspections.
  • Support emergency preparedness (emergency team coordination, annual drills, AED checks)

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical field
  • Valid ASPP qualification (mandatory).
  • Training in ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
  • First aid and fire‑safety certifications (Italy‑compliant) are a plus.

Experience

  • Experience in EHS roles within manufacturing, industrial, or logistics environments.
  • Experience with Italian HSE legislation (D.Lgs. 81/08 / D.Lgs. 152/06).
  • Experience conducting risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations.
  • Familiarity with digital EHS tools (e.g., SAIRS or similar reporting systems).
