Description
Job Title: Environmental/ Energy Manager EEM
Location: NAS Sigonella
Scope: Ensures compliance with environmental, energy, and sustainability requirements.
Responsibilities
- Implements the Environmental Management System (EMS).
- Prepares, submits, and maintains environmental permits, reports, and spill response documentation.
- Develops and enforces compliance with the Installation Energy Plan.
- Conducts environmental audits, inspections, and spill drills.
- Ensures compliance with Italian, DoD, and U.S. environmental policies.
- Oversees waste reduction, recycling, and pollution prevention programs.
- Coordinates with the Installation Environmental Office (IEO) on spill prevention and remediation.
- Tracks energy usage and provides recommendations for reduction and optimization.
- Educates workforce on environmental stewardship and energy conservation.
Mandatory Experience & Certifications
- Minimum two years of experience in environmental procedures comparable to contract requirements.
- Familiarity with Environmental Management Systems (EMS).
- Knowledge of environmental regulations, federal energy laws, and policies.
Preferred / Desirable Certifications
- ISO 14001 Environmental Management certification.
- Certified Energy Manager (CEM).
- LEED AP accreditation.
