In this role you act as the technical authority for Italian card and payment systems, guiding architecture and providing hands‑on support to ensure reliability and regulatory compliance. You partner with client stakeholders and cross‑functional teams to maintain a resilient, high‑availability platform. You will shape design decisions, lead complex incident resolution, and drive continuous improvement in a mission‑critical environment. This is a chance to impact large‑scale payments infrastructure.

• Serve as the overall technical architect for the VisionPLUS card processing platform and integrations
• Act as primary senior technical contact for the client and lead complex design discussions
• Lead major incident management with deep‑divediagnostics and cross‑team coordination
• Design and govern distributed‑to‑mainframe integrations, including APIs and middleware
• Review and approve technical changes, enhancements, and release plans for stability
• Mentor Advisor‑and Engineer‑level team members with technical leadership
• Collaborate with product owners, operations, infrastructure, and vendor teams for seamless delivery
• Ensure systems meet 24/7 availability, performance, and security requirements
• Contribute to resilience, automation, and reduction of technical debt

Responsabilità

• Extensive VisionPLUS experience in cards and payments processing
• Deep understanding of card lifecycle processing (authorisation, clearing, settlement, billing, disputes)
• Hands‑on mainframe expertise (CICS, DB2)
• Experience designing and supporting API‑based and event‑driven integrations with mainframe systems
• Strong production support, incident management, and root‑cause analysis in 24/7 environments
• Ability to balance architectural ownership with hands‑on execution
• Fluency in Italian and English
• Willingness for out‑of‑hours support for critical incidents
