Key Responsibilities

  • Risk Assessment & Mitigation: Lead risk evaluations across engineering functions to identify safety, compliance, and operational risks. Develop and implement mitigation strategies to ensure regulatory compliance and uninterrupted operations.
  • Technical Reporting: Produce comprehensive technical reports on equipment performance, operational efficiency, and incident investigations. Deliver data-driven insights and recommendations to senior leadership for continuous improvement.
  • Inspections & Regulatory Compliance: Plan and manage scheduled inspections of critical equipment and facilities, ensuring alignment with industry standards, safety regulations, and internal protocols.
  • Operational Planning & Oversight: Develop and oversee operational schedules, maintenance programs, and performance plans to maximize asset reliability and minimize downtime.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact between engineering teams, safety personnel, and executive leadership. Communicate operational risks, compliance updates, and inspection results effectively.
  • Documentation & Audit Preparedness: Maintain meticulous records of inspections, maintenance activities, and corrective actions to ensure audit readiness and support compliance initiatives.
  • Team Leadership & Training: Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams, promoting best practices in inspection readiness, safety, and compliance. Support capability development through targeted training and knowledge-sharing.
  • Global & Regional Coordination: Collaborate with international and regional teams to harmonize risk management practices, inspection standards, and reporting methodologies.


Candidate Requirements

  • Proven track record in engineering operations with a strong focus on risk management, compliance, and audit readiness.
  • Demonstrated expertise in preparing and presenting technical reports to senior stakeholders.
  • Experience in managing scheduled inspections and regulatory audits within controlled environments.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to coordinate and influence cross-functional teams.
  • Industry experience in highly regulated sectors such as pharmaceuticals (required), life sciences, manufacturing, energy, or infrastructure.
  • Solid background in technical documentation and compliance reporting.
  • Pharmaceutical industry experience is essential.
  • Basic proficiency in Italian (verbal only; written skills not required).
