This position primarily manages development engineers on a day-to-day basis. Provides direction to work group by planning, coordinating and managing on various functions and Engineering projects. Sets employee goals and manages achievement. Provides guidance and direction to promote employee development.
Responsibilities

  • Set objectives and deliver results that have direct impact on the achievement of results within the job area.
    • During program and project planning, sets objectives and prioritizes activities across work group in accordance with established schedules.
    • Assigns work and objectives to specific functions within the work group in order to balance demand with available resources.
    • Develops employees through mentoring and assigning appropriate work to enhance employee technical and personal growth.
  • Convince external parties that have a desire to reach agreement to accept new concepts, practices, and approaches.
    • Works with peers to develop solutions for engineering problems.
    • Provides guidance to employees on operational matters and consults with technical managers regarding tactics.
    • Acts as a first line of communication for employees on matters affecting the overall business of COE.
  • Identify problems and update or modify working methods in own role without the benefit of defined procedures.
    • Identifies areas for improvement in work group processes and drive resolutions to improve methodologies and techniques.
    • Works with peers to follow and implement best practices.
    • Monitors progress and adapts tactics to resolve unexpected project complications.
    • Cooperates with technical managers on process, methodology and techniques improvement and adapts them.
  • Lead the team through application of broad knowledge of Advanced Detection area and basic knowledge of several related job areas.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering or a related field or equivalent experience and 5-8 years experience.
  • Experience as people leader and manager.
  • Great communicator ability and focused on results.
  • Physical and/or mental work in an environment where international standards of safety apply.
Requirements (Must haves)
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of experience on a similar position
  • Strong Inter-personal and communication skills
  • Ability to manage team of Hardware, Software and Mechanical Engineers
  • Strong technical background, ability to understand technical documentation
  • Excellent command of English language is mandatory

  • Previous experience in fire industry (detectors, sensors etc.)
  • Knowledge of management method – Waterfall, Agile
  • Six Sigma Black Belt
  • Experience in Fire Industry
  • Experience in Multinational company
  • Knowledge in Agile and Waterfall design philosophies
