Descrizione dell'offerta

Intern — AI Infrastructure / Engineering

Location: Perugia, Italy

Work Type: Full-time internship

Work Setting: On-site

About MUTX

MUTX is building the operational layer for the agentic web.

We’re developing an open-source control plane that helps teams deploy, operate, and govern AI agents as real production systems — not fragile demos. Our work sits at the intersection of AI infrastructure, backend systems, developer tooling, security, and product design.

We care about the unglamorous but essential parts of making autonomous software actually work in the real world: deployment, identity, secrets, observability, reliability, and control.

If you’re interested in how AI systems are built, operated, and secured beyond the demo stage, you’ll probably like what we’re doing.

About the Role

This is a full-time, on-site internship in Perugia for someone who wants real ownership early.

You’ll work closely on a mix of technical research, documentation, testing, debugging, product operations, and development support across the stack. This is not a passive internship. You’ll be expected to think clearly, learn quickly, ask good questions, and contribute to meaningful work from the start.

The role is a strong fit for someone who is curious about AI infrastructure, enjoys solving messy problems, and wants hands-on experience inside an early-stage environment where things move fast and standards are high.

What You’ll Do

  • Support research across AI infrastructure, developer tooling, and agent operations
  • Help test, debug, and improve product workflows across backend and frontend surfaces
  • Write and maintain technical documentation, internal notes, and product-facing materials
  • Assist with developer operations, setup flows, and system organization
  • Contribute to QA, product polish, and general execution across the company
  • Work across different kinds of tasks depending on company priorities and your strengths
  • Learn how real systems are designed, shipped, and maintained in an early-stage startup

What We’re Looking For

  • Working knowledge of Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, or similar tools
  • Strong written communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to stay organized and follow through without constant supervision
  • Curiosity about AI systems, infrastructure, security, or developer tooling
  • Willingness to learn fast and work across different kinds of problems
  • Comfort collaborating closely with a small, in-person team
  • A thoughtful, resourceful mindset and good attention to detail

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with Git, Linux, Docker, APIs, or debugging workflows
  • Exposure to FastAPI, React, Next.Js, SQL, or automation tooling
  • Interest in infrastructure-as-code, security, observability, or agent systems
  • Prior experience with technical projects, research, coding, or building things on your own
  • A GitHub profile, portfolio, side project, or anything else that shows how you think and work
  • Degree in progress or recently completed in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field

Why Join

  • You’ll get real responsibility early
  • You’ll work directly on systems that matter, not filler intern work
  • You’ll gain hands-on experience across AI infrastructure, product, and operations
  • You’ll be close to the decision-making process in a genuinely early-stage company
  • You’ll help shape how a serious open-source AI infrastructure product is built

How to Apply

Please apply with your CV and, if available, links to GitHub projects, technical work, or anything you’ve built yourself.

  • We care more about clear thinking, curiosity, and evidence of real effort than polished credentials.
