Exyte Italy is looking for an experienced Process Engineer (m/f/d) to join our Agrate Brianza office. In this permanent position, you will become part of our Engineering Process Supply Department , supporting a variety of cutting-edge projects in the semiconductor and pharmaceutical industries.
You will play a central role in the design, development, and field execution of industrial water treatment systems (WWT and UPW), ensuring technical excellence from engineering through to on-site installation and commissioning.
Explore your tasks and responsibilities
- Develop engineering designs for industrial water treatment plants in line with SEMI, ASME and GMP standards, as well as national and local regulations
- Prepare engineering documentation including layouts, PFDs, P&IDs, mass and energy balances, technical specifications, datasheets, equipment lists, material take-offs and tender documentation
- Conduct technical bid evaluations and support procurement processes
- Follow up with vendors during equipment fabrication, delivery and erection phases
- Manage and resolve supplier NCRs
- Participate in intra- and interdisciplinary design review meetings
- Support site activities such as field installation checks, preparation of checklists and punch lists, and documentation for pre-commissioning and commissioning
- Ensure all construction activities comply with safety regulations, company procedures and technical specifications
Show your expertise
- Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent
- 3–5 years of experience in the design and construction of industrial water treatment plants (WWT and UPW)
- Knowledge of UHP gas and chemical distribution systems, clean utilities and pharma processes is considered a strong plus
- Familiarity with SEMI standards, GMP requirements, ultrapure water technologies and industrial wastewater treatment processes
- Strong understanding of process control, P&ID standards, ISA symbology, piping and valve classes for UPW, UHP gases, chemicals and clean utilities
- Experience in instrumentation & controls, sequences of operation and commissioning/start-up activities
- Proficiency with software tools such as MS Office, AutoCAD 2D/3D, Visio, MS Project; process simulation tools (e.g., WAVE) are a plus
- Strong interpersonal skills, problem-solving mindset, ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams
- Flexibility to travel nationally and internationally for extended periods
- Fluent in English; additional languages such as German are advantageous
