The Baker Hughes Internship is designed to enable students pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or recently graduated, to gain hands‑on work experience that serves as the foundation of their professional lives.

You will participate in focused training, team meetings, work on projects, and present your results. Each Intern will be supported by a buddy and a manager to ensure a valuable learning experience.

Interns will also become familiar with the Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E) practices and the company’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

As an Intern, you will be responsible for:

  • Completing internal projects to deliver customer outcomes and identify business improvements.
  • Learning internal software to assist with the completion of projects and tasks.
  • Collaborating with cross‑functional teams and interns to interact and network with global business leaders.
  • Applying Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E) standards and procedures in all situations to ensure compliance is maintained.
  • Assisting engineers or technologists with ongoing projects by conducting research, data analysis, and providing technical support.
  • Participating in the design process, creating drawings or prototypes, and contributing to the development of new products or technologies.
  • Keeping accurate records of experiments, designs, and project‑related information, and preparing reports or documentation as needed.
  • Collaborating in software development, coding, or programming tasks with engineers.
  • Working as part of a team and communicating effectively with colleagues, engineers, and supervisors to achieve project goals, identify and address technical issues or challenges that arise during projects, and propose solutions.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled or recently graduated in a Bachelor’s or Master’s level degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Instrumentation or System Engineering, Materials Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or other STEM‑related or business‑related program.
  • Maintained a GPA of 3.0 or higher out of 4.0, or the equivalent in your country.
  • Fluent in oral and written English and possessing effective communication skills.
  • Legally able to work in the country of application without company sponsorship or time restrictions.
