Safeguard the company’s international trade operations across EMEA by ensuring end-to-end compliance with applicable import/export, customs, sanctions, and trade control regulations—while enabling responsible growth through clear guidance, risk-based execution, and continuous improvement of trade compliance processes. Main Responsibilities
Customs & Classification Operations:
Implement and maintain EMEA trade compliance policies. Ensure accurate HS classification and documentation for all cross-border activities (new SKUs, imports/exports/returns). Oversee and audit the performance of customs Brokers/Agents to guarantee accurate declarations. Sanctions & Export Controls:
Manage restricted party screening for customers and suppliers. Evaluate trade compliance scenarios related to export controls, licensing needs, and restricted end-use/end-users, coordinating the escalation of potential concerns. Risk Management & Audits:
Perform risk assessments and identify vulnerabilities in shipping terms, valuations, and origin records. Support internal reviews, regulatory inquiries, and audit remediation, maintaining appropriate records and compliance dashboards (BI). Advisory & Training:
Act as the main point of contact for internal teams regarding cross-border shipments and trade-related requirements. Provide practical guidance and training to non-specialist stakeholders to ensure compliant execution. Requirements
Background & Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law, International Business, Economics, or related fields (relevant certifications like CTP or UCC are a strong plus). Core Trade Expertise:
Solid experience in EU customs, import/export compliance, sanctions regimes, dual-use controls, and origin procedures. Must have hands-on experience with HS classification, denied party screening, export licenses, and knowledge of AEO/CTPAT programs. Analytical & Data Skills:
Strong ability to interpret complex regulations, conduct internal audits, and manage Business Intelligence (BI) tools/dashboards to monitor compliance KPIs. Soft Skills:
Detail-oriented and proactive problem-solver with excellent communication skills to effectively translate complex trade regulations for non-specialist teams. Contractual & Corporate Compensation
Contract Type:
Permanent, Full-time. Applied Collective Agreement (CCNL):
Metalworking Industry (Metalmeccanica Industria). Salary Range (Gross Annual Salary / RAL) : €34,000 – €51,000. The starting salary will be commensurate with the actual experience gained and the technical skills assessed during the selection process. Contractual & Corporate Welfare & Benefits
Canteen:
On-site company canteen Contractual Welfare:
€250/year to be spent on goods and services. Supplementary Healthcare:
Health insurance (Fondo Metasalute) fully covered by the company. Supplementary Pension:
