Mission As a member of RS’ EMEA Corporate Account team and direct report to the VP Corporate Accounts for EMEA, the EMEA Industry Sector Director is responsible for defining and executing the strategic vision for Process Manufacturing industries (Food & Beverage, Chemical Manufacturing, Pharmaceuticals) across the EMEA region. With an end‑to‑end vision, this role ensures alignment between strategic development plans and objectives, drives industry‑specific growth, builds strategic external and internal partnerships, supports regional teams in achieving their business objectives within those industries, and ensures collaboration across functions and markets.

Responsibilities

Lead the region’s industry strategic approach and serve as the go‑to person for industry matters.

Build industry knowledge material for marketing, sales, services, and other stakeholders.

Identify market credentials, key players, trends, needs, growth opportunities, and threats with data team support.

Understand key stakeholders and influencers of the industry ecosystem to differentiate RS’s value proposition.

Analyze customer pain points, decision‑making processes, and buying cycles with market sales teams.

Translate RS’s product and service offering into added value and customer solutions.

Gather best sales practices and customer experience insights from the dedicated sales team across EMEA.

Collaborate with marketing, value‑added solutions, and product teams to tailor offerings to industry demands, ensuring an end‑to‑end approach with aligned content.

Develop and implement a sustainable EMEA sector strategy aligned with corporate goals, growing share of wallet and customer numbers, and optimizing profitability.

Coordinate plans with regional leaders to adapt strategies to local contexts where needed.

Collaborate with the sales effectiveness team to define qualification processes and use accurate data sources to assess manufacturing customer potentials.

Support direct team and local teams in strategic deals and major bid & tender processes.

Monitor performance metrics and ensure consistent execution across markets.

Share local sales and business best practices on the Process Manufacturing platform to support local sales teams.

Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and with key clients.

Build and maintain relationships with C‑level executives and decision makers.

Experience, Skills & Personal Attributes

Successful senior corporate account management track record with portfolios in the upper tens or hundreds of millions of euros.

Experience working for a scale‑or‑complexity organisation that provides value‑added services for indirect procurement, or on a multi‑country or pan‑EMEA basis.

Strategic and commercial mindset with demonstrable knowledge of corporate customer purchasing patterns and behaviours.

Proven operational and project management ability, capable of working with multiple stakeholders, suppliers, and service providers.

Track record in Food & Beverage, Chemicals, or Pharmaceutical industries.

Financial acumen in P&L, budget, and cost management.

Proactive, results‑focused, with a drive to “make things happen” and confident decision‑making.

Excellent interpersonal skills, natural leader, and team player with cross‑cultural influence abilities.

Ability to manage people in direct and indirect/matrix environments and drive change.

High personal initiative, professionalism, self‑motivation, credibility, and integrity with an autonomous work ethic.

Flexibility to adapt to company growth and development.

Fluency in English (essential) and additional languages (desirable).

Proven intercultural skills.

Compensation & Benefits (Italy)

Local Grade: Quadro or Dirigente, depending on the candidate’s experience, skills and overall profile.

Pay Range: €74,000 to €101,750.

Variable pay: Sales bonus targeting 30% of annual base salary, paid quarterly and linked to business objectives.

Company car for business and private use.

Meal vouchers: €9 per working day.

Parking slot and free gym at the Milan office.
