We are looking for a motivated Test Automation Engineer to join our Software Unit and support the development and validation of embedded software and electronic systems .

In this role, you will design and implement automated testing solutions, working closely with cross-functional teams to improve test efficiency, coverage, and reliability.


Key responsibilities

Your activities will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Developing libraries, tools, and frameworks for our modular Test Automation Solution
  • Evaluating and integrating automation tools and technologies to improve testing efficiency and effectiveness
  • Collaborating with Embedded Software Engineers and other teams to ensure software quality through an integrated development-and-test process
  • Defining and validating system requirements, test procedures, and test plans for embedded and electronic systems
  • Executing manual and automated tests , analyzing results, and documenting technical issues and findings
  • Designing and developing interfacing tools and equipment for embedded systems, including communication and power management systems
  • Developing simulators and digital twin systems
  • Supporting software integration activities with embedded hardware platforms and complete systems


Required experience & skills

  • Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering , or a related field
  • Proficiency in programming languages, with solid knowledge of Python
  • Good experience with communication standards and protocols such as UART, SPI, CAN, Ethernet , etc.
  • Previous experience with test automation solutions and/or testing frameworks - at least 3 years
  • Hands-on, proactive attitude
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Continuous learning mindset
  • Fluency in English , both written and spoken
  • Fluency in Italian is mandatory


Nice to have

  • Understanding of software and hardware development lifecycles , system design , and agile methodologies
  • Familiarity with Unix/Linux operating systems and shell scripting
  • Familiarity with laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, power supplies , and similar tools
