We are looking for an Embedded Software Architect to join our dream team in Turin.
The role focuses on designing and evolving the architecture of advanced embedded systems, both for new developments and existing platforms, working closely with software engineers and system architects.
Success in this position means defining scalable software architectures, supporting the development team in complex technical decisions, and enabling fast prototyping for new platforms and products.
This role connects system design and software development, helping teams deliver reliable embedded solutions.
Smart working is possible, but regular on-site collaboration is encouraged to strengthen teamwork and enable effective system design and integration.
Responsibilities
Design and define the architecture of embedded software systems based on Linux.
Lead the technical direction of software components developed in C++.
Support development teams in building scalable, maintainable software.
Develop fast prototypes and proof-of-concept implementations to validate solutions.
Define software interfaces, module structures, and integration strategies.
Collaborate with embedded engineers, robotics developers, and system architects.
Contribute to system architecture documentation and modeling.
Ensure software quality through architectural guidance and code reviews.
Qualifications
Strong experience with C++ 17 development for embedded systems.
Solid knowledge of Embedded Linux and RTOS .
Experience with the Yocto Project.
Experience working with ROS (Robot Operating System).
Experience with rapid prototyping.
Solid experience and in-depth understanding of software architecture for embedded platform.
Experience in the automotive domain is a plus.
Familiarity with AUTOSAR or similar automotive frameworks is a plus.
Experience with architecture tools such as Enterprise Architect is a plus.
Location
Turin, Italy. Primarily on-site with flexibility for smart working.
