Are you an autonomous designer and prototyping specialist eager to help shape next-generation space systems?
On offer is the chance to join a fast-growing European space startup developing embedded electronics for spacecraft and ground systems. You’ll own the design, testing, and qualification of mission-critical hardware across the full product lifecycle.
Working closely with the Head of Embedded Systems, you’ll prototype new designs, validate them through rigorous testing, and support the production processes that take space hardware from concept to orbit.
This role suits a hands-on electronics engineer with strong prototyping and test experience who wants meaningful impact in a multidisciplinary environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and prototype embedded electronics for spacecraft and related ground systems.
• Develop and conduct design validation and flight qualification tests.
• Plan and execute engineering and qualification testing of electronic subsystems.
• Formulate, verify, and iterate on engineering concepts and design improvements.
• Collaborate with production teams on manufacturing and integration processes.
• Contribute to the ongoing evolution of embedded systems architecture.
Essential Skills and Experience
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Embedded Systems, Automation, Robotics, or a similar field.
• 2+ years’ professional experience in autonomous electronics design (space or scientific hardware experience highly valued).
• Proven ability to design, build, and test electronics independently.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Collaborative team player with excellent communication in English.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience programming microcontrollers for prototyping.
• Knowledge of space engineering physics, including radiation, vacuum, and thermal effects on electronics.
• Familiarity with ESA or ECSS standards for design, assembly, and testing of electronic systems.
• Background in space industry environments or high-reliability electronics manufacturing.
