AP / Energy Marshal – Data Centre Project
We are seeking an experienced Authorised Person (AP) / Energy Marshal to manage and control energy isolation, safety, and operational compliance on a data centre construction and commissioning project. The role is critical to ensuring safe systems of work around live and high-risk energy sources.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the Authorised Person for electrical and/or mechanical systems in accordance with project and client procedures.
- Control, issue, and manage permits to work, lock-out/tag-out (LOTO), and energy isolation processes.
- Ensure safe management of live systems, temporary power, and phased energisation activities.
- Coordinate with construction, commissioning, and operations teams during energisation and testing.
- Verify switching plans, method statements, and risk assessments prior to execution.
- Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with safety rules, energy control procedures, and data centre standards.
- Lead or support incident investigations and corrective actions related to energy safety.
- Maintain accurate records, logs, and handover documentation.
