This is a Hybrid role, which includes various tasks to be performed on Site (supervision, audits, etc.) and in Office (EHT Electrical Heat Tracing Design and Electrical Distribution Engineering). The position will be based in Assago – Milan but will include additional Site Services to be executed all over South Europe (Italy, Greece, Spain, Portugal).
Responsibilities
- Responsible for QA/QC field checks and Audits on new and existing heat tracing installations, testing and commissioning of engineered systems based on installed products, including power and control & monitoring systems.
- Find and repair faults in Electrical Heat Tracing Systems including power and control and monitoring panels.
- Carry out projects independently.
- Execute Engineering and Design Activities on basis of project drawings, specifications, planning, procedures, quality requirements and VCA / SCC safety standards.
- Use Chemelex EHT Design Software.
- Promote a positive approach to Health and Safety and carry out activities in line with applicable legislation and Chemelex’s EHS Manual and associated processes.
- Monitor and report project progress on regular basis; actual progress against initial agreed schedule instigating corrective measures where necessary to ensure deadlines are met.
- Maintain contacts with the Customer concerning work to be carried out, planning, more/ less work and completion/ handover of the work.
- Report out to Proposals and Project Teams the results of the QA/QC checks and audits performed, so quotations can be made towards our clients, with the aim of improving Client installed systems and processes.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of proven experience as an Electrical Site Services Technician within the industrial sector, including hazardous areas
- Confidence about POS/DVR and others HSE related documents and procedures in place in Italy
- Languages: fluent in Italian and Spanish is mandatory (written and spoken)
- Good knowledge of English is mandatory
- VCA / SCC / Chemical Risk UIC Level 2 (or equivalent) Certifications would be preferred
- Education: Graduated from Technical High School (Electrical) or Electrical Engineer
- Be a self-starter/self-motivated, team player, detail oriented and a good communicator with a problem-solving attitude
- Act as an “Ambassador” for Chemelex when interacting with clients
- Affinity in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) and AutoCAD
