About the Role
Our client is a global manufacturing business seeking an experienced Electrical & Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join their maintenance team at their facility in Cadorago, Italy.
Reporting to the Maintenance & Automation Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining highly automated production and packaging equipment, ensuring machinery operates safely, efficiently and with minimal downtime.
This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced maintenance technician who enjoys fault finding, preventative maintenance and continuous improvement within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across production equipment.
- Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and electromechanical faults.
- Support the maintenance and reliability of automated production and packaging machinery.
- Assist with troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment and automation systems.
- Read and interpret electrical, mechanical and pneumatic drawings and schematics.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
- Assist with equipment modifications, installations and commissioning activities.
- Work closely with production teams to ensure efficient machine performance.
- Liaise with external contractors and equipment suppliers when required.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and accurately in accordance with company procedures.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records using the site's maintenance management systems.
About You
To be successful in this role you will ideally have:
- A recognised Electrical or Mechanical Engineering qualification (or equivalent technical apprenticeship).
- A minimum of 3 years' experience within an industrial maintenance environment.
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
- Experience maintaining automated manufacturing or production equipment.
- Good understanding of electrical, pneumatic and mechanical systems.
- Basic knowledge of PLC-controlled machinery and automation systems (fault finding experience is highly desirable).
- The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance.
- A commitment to safe working practices within a manufacturing environment.
Language Requirements
- Fluent spoken and written Italian is essential.
- English language skills would be advantageous but are not essential.

Experience within any of the following industries would be advantageous:
- Paper or paper converting
- Slitting or rewinding
- Packaging

- Printing
- Automated manufacturing
