Mission
The engineer supports all electrical engineering activities related to the estimation of electrical systems associated with the plants offered by the company, ensuring the issuance of studies, drawings, and documentation required to evaluate supplies and installation works.
For ongoing projects, they are responsible for performing current estimates of installation works and provide support in the preparation of Work Requisitions, ensuring compliance with company methodologies and standards.
Main Activities & Responsibilities:
Following the guidelines of the Manager, the Electrical Materials & Work Quantities Estimating & Management Engineer has the following main responsibilities:
- Ensure the quality of the prepared documentation in compliance with project contractual requirements, assigned budget, and project schedule;
- Prepare and maintain an updated archive of historical technical and commercial data relevant to the group’s activities;
- Update the standard construction work specifications within the discipline and related documentation (Code Lists, Measurement Methods, Special Contract Conditions, etc.), coordinating with Construction, Subcontracting departments, and corresponding technical departments to ensure consistency with other contractual documentation (General Contract Conditions, Management Specifications, etc.);
- Support the Project Leader in both execution projects and tendering phases by issuing construction work specifications related to the discipline;
- Perform, under supervision, verification of installation quantities associated with construction works within the discipline;
- Support Construction and Subcontracting teams, in coordination with the Discipline Project Leader, according to project needs;
- Support the Estimating team, in coordination with the Discipline Project Leader, according to tender requirements;
- Contribute to the implementation and continuous update of standards, procedures, and work methodologies related to installation activities within the discipline;
- Participate in technical training as required by the department and the company, and exchange experience with colleagues across the Maire Tecnimont Group for the application of design techniques;
- Monitor market developments and state-of-the-art technologies to provide technical evaluations of new products, technologies, workflows, applications, and related aspects.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering;
- At least 3 years of experience in electrical engineering within engineering companies (petrochemical, oil & gas, energy sectors);
- Good knowledge of AutoCAD 2D;
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office package;
- Experience working in international and distributed engineering teams;
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken;
- Willingness to travel in Italy and abroad for short or long periods.
