Overview

Electrical Engineer/Technician role at Arup in Milan.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to a diverse portfolio of projects across Italy and beyond
  • Be responsible for the design and delivery of electrical services (MV, LV and extra-LV), collaborating with experienced engineers and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Develop technical analysis, calculations (energy balances and power distribution systems), computations, specifications, modelling, and reporting.
  • Design renewable energy systems.
  • Be accountable for delivering high quality work in the form of drawings, reports, standard documentation, presentations, authority submissions, etc., within the agreed timeframes.
  • Participate in site visits, client meetings, design reviews and project workshops, gaining valuable industry exposure.
  • Cooperate closely with our international offices.

Requirements / Qualifications

  • Degree from an Engineering University (Building/ Electrical/ Energy/ other relevant) or a relevant technical Diploma.
  • 3 to 5 years of professional experience in the design and delivery of electrical installations (MV, LV and extra-LV).
  • Knowledge of sustainability principles.
  • Good planning and organisation skills.
  • Fluent written and spoken English and Italian.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Good knowledge of CAD and/or Building Information Modelling.
  • Knowledge of Italian codes and planning phases.
  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills with an eagerness to learn and apply new concepts.
  • Availability to travel within the region (Europe).
