New Opportunity – Electrical Engineer
Location : Rome, Italy (office-based)
Package : €80,000 + bonus
Piper Maddox are supporting a growing renewable energy IPP with a 4GW pipeline who are looking to hire an Electrical Engineer to join their Engineering team. This role will focus on the development and construction of utility-scale solar PV, wind, and BESS projects .
You’ll play a key role across the full project lifecycle, working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Key responsibilities:
• Design of PV, wind, and BESS plants (layout, electrical sizing, MV/HV connections)
• Preparation of grid connection documentation and technical solutions
• Evaluation of grid connection options
• Preparation and review of technical specifications and tender documentation
• Support procurement in selecting key components (modules, inverters, trackers)
• Support development activities (yield assessment, grid analysis)
Requirements:
• 3+ years’ experience in a similar role within renewable energy
• Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Knowledge of CEI, IEC, and UNI standards
• Experience with AutoCAD, PVsyst, PVcase or similar tools
• Ability to produce technical drawings and reports
• English and Italian skills
