Descrizione dell'offerta
Electrical Engineer (Internship) Location: Rho, Italy (near the metro station) Contract Type: Full-time, On-site Working Hours: 09:00–12:45, 14:00–18:00 Compensation: 1000 k€ gross Role Description We are seeking a Electrical Engineering Intern to support the modeling and analysis of our containerized battery systems. The intern will contribute to the development of electrical models of the battery stack and balance-of-system components, including phenomena such as shunt currents in multi-cell electrochemical stacks. The role focuses on building and refining equivalent electrical circuit models and implementing them in MATLAB/Simulink (OpenModelica) to simulate system behavior. The intern will work closely with the R&D team to compare model predictions with experimental data from laboratory and system-level tests, helping improve the understanding and accuracy of system models. The position also provides exposure to power conversion systems (PCS) and the interaction between battery systems and power electronics within a containerized energy storage architecture. Responsibilities Develop equivalent circuit models of electrochemical stacks and related electrical subsystems Support modeling of shunt currents and parasitic electrical paths within multi-cell systems Implement and test models using MATLAB / Simulink Compare simulation outputs with experimental data from laboratory and system tests Collaborate with the R&D team to refine model assumptions and parameters Support analysis of the interaction between the battery system and power conversion systems (PCS) Qualifications MSc in Electrical Engineering or related field Basic knowledge of electric circuits and system modeling Familiarity with MATLAB / Simulink or similar simulation tools Interest in battery systems, electrochemical energy storage, or power electronics Analytical mindset and willingness to work with experimental data and engineering models Good written and spoken English
