Brightsmith is supporting a renewable energy company to hire an Electrical Engineer in Italy.
The company develops, builds, and manages renewable energy plants across Solar PV, Wind and BESS, and is strengthening its Engineering Department to support a growing project pipeline.
This role offers the opportunity to work across both development and construction phases, contributing technically to plant design, grid connection strategy, and procurement support within a dynamic and collaborative engineering team.

Key Responsibilities
• Manage preliminary and detailed electrical design of PV, Wind and/or BESS plants
• Define plant layouts, perform electrical sizing, and design MV/HV grid connections
• Prepare technical and administrative documentation for grid connection solutions
• Evaluate grid connection solutions for self-consumption and grid feed-in, including private grid configurations (SSPC)
• Prepare technical specifications and tender documentation in line with authorised designs
• Review documentation produced by external consultants
• Support Procurement in the technical selection of key components (modules, inverters, trackers, etc.)
• Support Development with yield assessments and grid connection analysis
Who We Are Looking For
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar electrical engineering role
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or Energy Engineering (or Technical Diploma in Electrical Engineering)
• Strong knowledge of CEI, IEC and UNI technical standards
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, PV design software (PV CASE, PVsyst), and electrical CAD tools
• Ability to prepare technical reports, schematics, and drawings
• Excellent English language skills
• Structured, collaborative, and solution-oriented mindset
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
