Electrical Engineer Italy

Responsibilities:

• Ensure project engineering activities, under his responsibility, comply with company guidelines and support overall the engineering team.
• Supervise and coordinate Design PV power plants & BESS projects with third party consultants.
• Help project team to develop specifications to optimize PV, BESS and co-located power plant design including, but not limited to, component selection, module string sizing, layout design, collector routing design, conductor sizing, etc.
• Produce and interpret technical drawings for solar power plants and BESS on CAD software.
• Develop PV power plant and BESS corresponding single line diagrams.
• Extract quantities from existing drawings.
• Create technical presentation for the produced design.
• Carry out site land surveys and prepare site survey reports.
• Delegated to interface with all engineering departments/disciplines as required.
• Analysis of the network for a definition of the connection process in the most advantageous technical-economic formula;
• Analysis of technical connection solutions;

Requirements:

• Adequate technical knowledge of PV power plants, battery energy storage and basic electrical and control engineering concepts.
• Able to extract technical data from equipment data sheets and project documents.
• Preferably a degree level qualification associated with electrical power systems and/or electrical engineering / renewable energy engineering.
• Basic knowledge of electricity networks (structure, drawings and models) and integration of infrastructures;
• Previous experiences in Scada and PPC system is a plus.

Education & Training:

• Currently working towards a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering (Electrical, renewable energy).
• Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, QGIS).
• Basic knowledge of PVsyst / PV Case.
• Microsoft Office proficient, including high proficiency in Excel.

Languages:

• Ability to communicate (written & verbal) in English and Italian at CEFR Level B2 or higher.
