NEW OPPORTUNITY IN ITALY
Role: Electrical Engineer – BESS & Hybrid PV-BESS
Location: Napoli (Hybrid)
Salary : €50,000 DOE
Piper Maddox are working with an independent renewable energy investor and asset owner who are at the start of an exciting growth phase in Italy, building out its in-house engineering capability to deliver a rapidly expanding pipeline of utility-scale BESS and hybrid PV+BESS projects. As they scale, they plan to transition into an IPP.
This role offers genuine end-to-end technical ownership, from early-stage feasibility and grid connection through to EPC delivery, commissioning and COD. You’ll sit close to investment decisions and play a key role in shaping how projects are designed and delivered as the company scales.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading in-house electrical design for BESS and hybrid PV+BESS plants
- Managing grid connection processes and interfacing directly with Terna and DSOs
- Supporting permitting, EPC execution and commissioning activities
- Acting as electrical technical owner, including DM 37/08 responsibilities
What they’re looking for:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering
- 4+ years’ experience across MV/HV power or renewable projects
- Strong electrical design capability
- Fluent Italian and professional English
