Electrical Commissioning Manager - Data Centre Project - Milan

Earthstream is seeking an experienced Electrical Commissioning Manager to join an international construction company that is involved with a major data centre project in Milan. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a high-profile, fast-paced development delivering mission-critical infrastructure, and the successful candidate will manage electrical commissioning activities from pre-commissioning through to testing, integrated systems testing, and final handover. You will play a key role in ensuring systems are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams across construction, engineering, vendors, and client stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Manage electrical commissioning activities across the project lifecycle. Develop and implement commissioning plans, procedures, schedules, and strategies. Coordinate commissioning activities with construction teams, subcontractors, consultants, and client representatives. Oversee pre-commissioning, energisation, functional testing, and integrated systems testing activities. Ensure commissioning works are completed in accordance with project specifications, quality standards, and programme requirements. Requirements Degree, or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline. Minimum 5–10+ years of commissioning experience within mission-critical or industrial environments. Strong understanding of MV/LV electrical systems, UPS systems, Generators, Switchgear, Transformers, Critical power systems, BMS/EPMS integration Strong knowledge of commissioning processes and industry best practice. Proven experience managing multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of relevant industry standards and safety regulations. Desirable Previous experience with hyperscale data centre projects. Professional memberships and industry certifications. xpavfwm Strong understanding of mission-critical commissioning methodologies.
