Job Title: Electrical Commissioning Engineer
Location: Milan, Italy (Data Centre Project)
Duration: 5 Months
Start Date: End of November 2025

About the Role
We are seeking experienced Senior Commissioning Engineers (Electrical LV/HV) to join our project team for a major data centre facility in Milan, Italy. The successful candidates will be responsible for the commissioning, testing, and validation of generator systems, ensuring all electrical installations and associated control systems operate to design specifications and industry standards.
This is a contract role ideal for seasoned engineers with a background in power generation, critical infrastructure, or data centre commissioning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and execute the commissioning of LV and HV electrical systems, with a focus on generator sets.
  • Oversee generator start-up, synchronization, load testing, and system integration.
  • Review and validate electrical drawings, schematics, and commissioning documentation.
  • Conduct functional and performance testing in line with project specifications and manufacturer requirements.
  • Liaise closely with client representatives, OEM engineers, and project management teams.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and provide detailed reporting on commissioning progress and system performance.
  • Ensure compliance with European electrical and safety standards.
  • Supervise and mentor junior commissioning staff as required.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Right to work in Italy.
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Minimum 8+ years’ experience in LV/HV electrical commissioning, in data centres, power generation, or critical infrastructure.
  • Proven hands-on experience with generators (commissioning, FAT/SAT, or maintenance).
  • Strong understanding of protection systems, switchgear, control panels, and PLC interfaces.
