Position Title

Engineering Specialist – Customer Application Engineering (Electrical Application Engineer)

Job Summary

As an Electrical Application Engineer you will play a vital role in creating technical solutions that fulfill the needs of our customers. You'll collaborate with cross‑functional teams to provide product/scope guidance for new requisitions, lead the preparation, management and negotiation of BH technical proposals for electrical components and systems, and influence customer decisions towards BH solutions.

Responsibilities

• Manage the preparation and negotiation of BH technical proposals, including budget estimation for the proposed solution.
• Define the technical strategy for projects, influencing customers towards BH solutions.
• Prepare the best technical proposal at first submission using bidding tools and implementing innovative technology where appropriate.
• Lead technical negotiations, coordinating with supporting functions and attending meetings/presentations with customers.
• Apply product and quality policies, addressing and mitigating risks according to BH procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Exceptional verbal and non‑verbal communication skills for preparing proposals, conducting meetings, answering sales/customer questions, and explaining technical aspects.
• Basic market/technical knowledge of rotating electrical machines (e.g., MV‑HV motors and generators) and related auxiliary systems.
• Ability to interpret customer economics, process and technical specifications and translate them into competitive technical offerings.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, and ability to lead programs or projects.
• Fluent in English (oral and written) with excellent communication skills.
• Very good interpersonal and leadership skills, inclusive team working style, and ability to effectively interface with all levels of internal and external customers.
• Availability to travel to regional and international locations to work with customers on site.
