EIB Trainee - Operations Directorate - Operational Management & Policy Support Division - based in Luxembourg
Join the European Investment Bank (EIB) as an Operational Management & Policy Support Division trainee based in our Luxembourg headquarters. This position requires regular office presence in a truly international and multicultural environment.
Duration: 5 months (fixed start date: 1st March/April 2026). Up to 6 months extension if required by university.
Eligibility: Only applications from nationals of the EU Member States and citizens of candidate countries (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, Turkey, Ukraine) will be considered. Candidates whose Erasmus+ programme overlaps with the traineeship will not be considered. Limit applications to a maximum of three traineeship publications; only the first three submissions will be retained.
Responsibilities:
- Review OPS and GLO procedures to identify sections necessitating improvement.
- Propose visual representations and supporting material (e.g., checklists) to replace text-based information.
- Implement agreed changes.
Tasks may be adapted depending on the activities covered by the hosting team.
Academic Qualifications and Professional Skills:
- Final year of studies or University degree preferably in Finance, Banking, Economics, Business Administration or related subjects.
- First experience in the banking/financial sector considered an asset.
- Excellent knowledge of standard Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent written and spoken English and/or French; knowledge of other EU languages is an advantage.
