Group Information Systems Directorate (GIS) – Digital Transformation & Innovation Department (DTI) – Digital Transformation Office Division (DTO)
Location: Luxembourg headquarters (regular office presence required).
TRAINEE
Duration: 5 months (fixed start date: 1st September/October 2026, with possible extension up to 6 months if required by University).
Objective of the traineeship: The traineeship aims to immerse you in the EIBG’s Innovation and Transformation ecosystem, giving you hands‑on experience with innovation methodologies, new ways of working, new technologies, emerging trends, and practical transformation initiatives.
You will contribute to real projects, support the Innovation Lab’s activities, and help accelerate a culture of creativity, experimentation, and continuous improvement across the organisation.
Responsibilities
- Assist in workshops and innovation activities (preparation, logistics, facilitation support).
- Help with prototyping and experimentation, including documenting insights and coordinating with business/IT teams.
- Contribute to communication & engagement, such as SharePoint updates, drafting short messages, visuals, or content to engage with the internal Innovation community.
- Provide support for events, including innovation awards, Hackathon and showcase preparations.
Academic Qualifications and Professional Skills
- Final year of studies or University degree in Innovation, digitalisation, IT.
- Curiosity & learning agility: Ability to explore new ideas, technologies, and trends, with a strong willingness to learn, experiment and adapt.
- Analytical & critical thinking skills, and ability to translate insights into practical innovation opportunities.
- Creativity & problem solving: capacity to understand problems, analyse needs, challenge assumptions, generate ideas and contribute to ideation sessions.
- Digital & Innovation mindset: Awareness of emerging technologies and innovation practices, combined with an interest in how digital solutions can create business and societal value.
- Excellent knowledge of standard Microsoft Office tools (Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint).
- Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English and/or French. Knowledge of other EU language would be an advantage.
