Position Summary

We’re looking for an EHS Specialist

Location: Reggio Emilia

Main opportunities and challenges

Very dynamic working environment with several opportunities for discussion with all EHS Italian team thanks to best practices sharing, corporate cross-checking, or cross-cutting projects.

In addition, the resource will be placed in a multiplant context with opportunities for growth.

Main Responsibilities

  • Define plant guidelines and policies for EHS and Sustainability topics.
  • Identify hazards, assess risks, and implement measures for health, safety, and environmental impact minimization, in compliance with laws and plant organization knowledge.
  • Develop and maintain the Health, Safety, and Environment Management System, certified according to ISO45001 and ISO14001 standards.
  • Ensure these systems are periodically audited for continuous performance improvement.
  • Analyze applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations and drive compliance.
  • Collaborate with technical departments to define prevention and protection measures.
  • Identify personal protection devices based on risk assessments.
  • Propose and organize worker information and training programs.
  • Ensure medical and paramedical supervision meets plant needs.
  • Collect and analyze key sustainability, safety, health, and environment KPIs.
  • Support the Maintenance Team in regulatory equipment inspection and energy management projects.
  • Manage external contractors.
  • Utilize external experts for specialized environmental measurements.
  • Ensure proper waste management and disposal.

Job Position Requirements

Education: University bachelor degree in Ingegneria or Tecnico della prevenzione.

  • At least 5 years' experience in a similar role within structured, continuous improvement-oriented industrial settings.
  • Experience in the metal industry is a plus.

Hard skills

Essential:

  • Proficiency in English
  • Knowledge of EHS legal requirements
  • ISO14001 and ISO45001 standards knowledge
  • Microsoft Office, mainly Excel

Plus:

  • Lean Manufacturing, WCM, Six Sigma
  • Power BI
  • Engineering drawing knowledge

Soft skills

  • Dynamism, personal initiative, and willingness for continuous improvement
  • Strong analytical, planning, and goal-oriented skills
