Job Summary
The EHS Specialist will be responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and maintenance of Environmental, Health, and Safety programs and policies at CROWN Packaging Manufacturing Italy S.r.l. This role ensures compliance with all applicable local, national, and company EHS regulations and standards, promoting a safe and healthy work environment. Job Responsibilities
Management of health surveillance. Assist in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of EHS management systems and programs (e.g., hazard communication, lockout/tagout, confined spaces, emergency preparedness). Conduct regular EHS inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and non-compliance issues. Investigate EHS incidents, accidents, and near misses, determining root causes and recommending corrective and preventive actions. Prepare and submit required EHS reports to internal stakeholders and external regulatory agencies. Monitor and analyze EHS performance metrics, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement. Ensure compliance with all relevant Italian and EU EHS legislation, including but not limited to D.Lgs. 81/08, specifically on topics related to training. Management of workers' uniforms and PPE. Job Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience (1 year) in an EHS role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the packaging industry. Strong knowledge of Italian EHS legislation (D.Lgs. 81/08, D.Lgs. 152/06) and EU directives. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train and influence employees at all levels. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Ability to conduct thorough investigations and root cause analysis. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Fluency in Italian and English (both written and spoken) is essential.
