EHS Manager – Italy & Denmark

Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager
to join our client; a global leader in the mining and production of performance minerals for industrial applications, covering their
Italy and Denmark Hub .

Job Summary / Purpose The EHS Manager leads all Environment, Health and Safety activities and resources across the Hub’s sites, ensuring regulatory compliance, continuous implementation of company policies, protocols, and culture. The primary objective of the role is to
prevent accidents and incidents , fostering a proactive safety culture and supporting continuous improvement across all operations.
Job Scope / Dimensions This position is part of the
Performance Minerals EMEA Business Area , which encompasses: 80 sites
across
24 countries 3,700 employees €1.2 billion revenue
The
Italy & Denmark Hub
includes: 8 factories ,
4 open-pit operations ,
1 underground mine , and
1 logistics platform Approximately
300 employees €100 million sales
Key Tasks and Responsibilities Act as the EHS lead for the Hub, partnering with the Hub Director to ensure compliance, excellence, and alignment with corporate objectives. Define and prioritize EHS annual objectives in line with the Business Area roadmap and the Imerys Safety System. Promote and embed a strong safety culture across all Hub sites. Drive continuous improvement by supporting sites in risk prevention and the implementation of improvement action plans. Lead the accident management process, ensuring timely reporting, root cause analysis, and definition of corrective actions in collaboration with site and local EHS managers. Ensure compliance of industrial and mining operations with local environmental regulations, CSRD requirements, and Imerys internal standards through regular assessments and gap analyses. Collaborate with Hub Operations Managers, Site Managers, and on-site EHS teams to deploy initiatives and provide guidance on EHS-related CapEx. Foster proactive networking and knowledge sharing of best practices across the Hub. Maintain close coordination with Hub Managers, Business Area EHS Managers, Site Managers, and local EHS contacts for program deployment and performance alignment. May act as EHS Manager for the Hub’s lead site when required. xpavfwm
Ideal Background / Experience Engineering degree or equivalent qualification Strong command of
English and Italian
(knowledge of Danish is a plus) Minimum
5 years of experience
in EHS management within industrial operations Proven track record managing multiple sites and driving a safety culture
